Bear man claims $10,000 prize from MEGA MILLIONS®
Dover, DE — James Helgesen, a 60-year-old man from Bear recently claimed a $10,000 prize from the MEGA MILLIONS® drawing held on August 4, 2023. Mr. Helgesen, a network engineer, purchased his tickets at Royals Farms #161 on Pulaski Highway in Bear.
Mr. Helgesen used Quick Pick to select his numbers, resulting in a match of four numbers and the MEGABALL®. Mr. Helgesen discovered his big win after checking the winning numbers on the MEGA MILLIONS® website. He wasted no time in sharing the thrilling news with his wife.

The winning numbers from the August 4, 2023 drawing were 11, 30, 45, 52 and 56. The MEGABALL® number was 20 and the MEGAPLIER® number was 2X.
MEGA MILLIONS® drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 PM EST. The current estimated annuity jackpot is $607 million dollars. MEGA MILLIONS® costs $2 per game. MEGA MILLIONS® with MEGAPLIER® costs $3 per game.
Mr. Helgesen claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on February 23, 2024.
