Newark woman wins $300,000 playing MORE SERIOUS MONEY
Dover, DE — A 64-year-old health care worker from Newark has claimed the latest $300,000 top prize for the $30 price point Instant Game MORE SERIOUS MONEY. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket from Food Lion #2160 on Pulaski Highway in Bear.
The woman said she has been playing the Delaware Lottery for 10 years and usually purchases three tickets at a time. When the woman scratched this particular ticket, she said she never expected this exciting outcome “It feels good to win $300,000, I have never won anything this large before.” The woman called her husband right away to share the good news of her big win.
“Congratulations to this lucky player,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “We’re always happy to see a longtime fan of Instant Games take home a six-figure top prize.”
When asked what the woman plans to do with her winnings, she said she plans to put the money towards paying off debt.
