MEGA MILLIONS® jackpot climbs to $480 million
Dover, DE — With no jackpot winners since April 15, the estimated annual annuity for this Friday’s drawing is now $480 million, making it the biggest jackpot of 2022, and the 16th largest jackpot in MEGA MILLIONS® history.
“Having a chance to win the 16th largest jackpot in MEGA MILLIONS® history is very exciting,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “But it’s also very important to remember to play responsibly.”
In 2021, there was a total of 6 MEGA MILLIONS® jackpot winners for the year. This year, there have already been four jackpots claimed:
- April 15, $20 million (Tennessee)
- April 12, $110 million (Minnesota)
- March 8, $128 million (New York)
- January 28, $426 million (California)
MEGA MILLIONS® drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:00PM EST. Tickets can be purchased until 9:45PM EST on the day of the drawing.
