Dover woman wins first SERIOUS MONEY $300,000 top prize
Dover, DE — A 65-year-old accountant from Dover, who wished to remain anonymous, recently purchased three Instant Game tickets while visiting Super 9 Liquors in Dover. One of those tickets was for the $30 price point Instant Game SERIOUS MONEY, and it would end up providing the biggest surprise of the woman’s 36 year history as an Instant Games player. When she scratched the ticket, the woman realized she had become a $300,000 winner.
While the woman has won prizes as large as $500 playing Instant Games in the past, nothing could have prepared her for this staggering win. “It was a real shock. I’m just so thankful,” the woman said. “I usually only buy two Instant Game tickets at a time. I’m not sure why I bought three this time, but I’m so glad I did!”
“We’ve been excited to see who wins the first $300,000 top prize from this new Instant Game offering,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “It’s great to see it go to a longtime Instant Game player.”
When asked what she intended to do with her winnings, the woman said she plans to celebrate by buying a nice purse and is considering using the rest to buy a new house.
Two $300,000 top prizes remain for SERIOUS MONEY, along with twelve $10,000 prizes. That means this $30 price point Instant Game still has plenty of seriously big surprises in store for Delaware Lottery players.
The woman claimed her prize from Lottery Headquarters on April 22, 2022.
