Pennsylvania man wins final $150,000 top prize playing THE MONEY GAME
Dover, DE — A 65-year-old construction worker from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased a few Instant Game tickets while visiting Acme #3816 in Middletown last year. One of those tickets, a THE MONEY GAME Instant Game ticket, would end up making it one trip to Delaware the man will never forget. When he scratched the ticket, he realized he had become the game’s final $150,000 winner in an instant.
While the announced end of game sales for THE MONEY GAME was October 31, 2021, winning Instant Game tickets may be claimed for a one year period after the announced end of sales date.
“It was a real shock, I can tell you that,” the man said. “It’s always nice to win some extra cash, but I never thought I’d win $150,000.” He called a friend shortly after scratching the ticket to help him celebrate his six-figure win. “They were just as shocked as I was,” the man added.
“Congratulations to this lucky winner,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “This may be the final top prize for THE MONEY GAME, but there are plenty of big wins still waiting to be found. BONUS MONEY, FANTASTIC MONEY MANIA, CASH CRAZE and CASH XTREME all have six-figure top prizes available, and we’re looking forward to sharing the winning experience with all who claim them.”
When asked what he intended to do with his winnings, the man said he’s putting it all into savings for the time being.
The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on February 25, 2022.
