Dover man wins $250,000 playing DREAMIN’ XXL

Dover, DE — A 60-year-old store manager from Dover recently purchased a single DREAMIN’ XXL Instant Game ticket while visiting Cochran Liquors in Middletown. Much to the man’s surprise, that ticket ended up making him the game’s latest $250,000 winner.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he doesn’t have a unique method for selecting his Instant Game tickets, but usually purchases one $25 price point ticket at a time. A lifelong Dover resident, the man started playing the Delaware Lottery in the late 1970s, and has been enjoying the fun and excitement of Instant Games ever since.

“I was shocked when I saw how much I had won,” said the man. “I haven’t told anyone about my big win yet, but I’m incredibly thankful.”

When asked what he intended to do with his winnings, the man said he plans to buy a brand-new vehicle in the not-so-distant future.

The man claimed his prize from Lottery Headquarters on August 6, 2021.
