Wilmington woman wins $250,000 playing DREAMIN’ XXL
Dover, DE — A 51-year-old hairstylist from Wilmington recently purchased a DREAMIN’ XXL Instant Game ticket while visiting Books & News in Newark. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, was shocked by what she saw after scratching the ticket. She had become the game’s first $250,000 top prize winner in an instant.
The woman said she’s been playing the Delaware Lottery for 30 years, usually purchasing one Instant Game ticket at a time. She enjoys the variety of games and playing for a chance to win big. No stranger to luck, the woman has won multiple times over the years, but this is by far her biggest win yet.
“We never get tired of seeing our players win big with Delaware Lottery Games,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “Two more $250,000 top prizes remain for the DREAMIN’ XXL Instant Game, along with eleven $10,000 prizes. We can’t wait to share the excitement of winning with even more Delaware Lottery players.”
When asked what she was planning to do with her winnings, the woman said she intends to pay some bills and place the rest into savings.
The woman claimed her prize from Lottery Headquarters on April 20, 2021.
