New Bear Resident Wins Big Playing MULTI-WIN LOTTO
Dover, DE — A 70-year-old retired man, who recently moved to Bear, started playing MULTI-WIN LOTTO every Friday at Acme #817 in the Fox Run Shopping Center shortly after moving to Bear. This past Friday, the man matched all six numbers and won $69,032 before taxes.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he had previously won $8,000 playing a multi-win game in New Jersey, but never anything like this. The man played using Quick Pick, and after taxes, he will take home $52,464.
“I was checking the tickets online on Saturday morning and thought I was hallucinating,” the man said, when he realized he had won. “I went to the store to double check. I even slept with the ticket in my hand.”
“We’re always excited to see new Delaware residents become frequent Delaware Lottery players,” said Delaware Lottery Director, Vernon Kirk. “It’s even better when they win big.”
When asked what he was planning on doing with his winnings, the man said he would like to, “Do something nice for my fiancé and myself. This will give us a buffer with the move and (new) house.”
The man claimed his prize at Lottery Headquarters on February 11, 2019.
