Gift Responsibly This Holiday Season
Dover, DE — The Delaware Lottery reminds everyone that you must be 18 or older to play Delaware Lottery Instant Games and Draw Games. Additionally, studies show that purchasing tickets for minors can lead to gambling problems later in life -so please remember to gift responsibly this holiday season.
According to the National Council on Problem Gambling, many young people report their first gambling experience between 9 – 11 years old, and approximately 80% of high-school adolescents report having gambled for money this past year.
“We take great pride in working with our retailers to ensure Delaware Lottery Games aren’t sold to minors,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “We want to remind our customers, especially with the holidays approaching, that our games should not be purchased as gifts for children.”
