Wednesday’s POWERBALL® Jackpot Jumps to an Estimated $375 Million
The Delaware Lottery Encourages the Community to Play Responsibly
(DOVER, DE) — With no POWERBALL® jackpot winner from the Saturday, June 3 drawing, the estimated annuity jackpot has now reached $375 million—the 12th-largest jackpot in the game’s history, according to Multi-State Lottery Association officials. Wednesday’s jackpot could offer a single winner a cash payout of an impressive $234.5 million. As players from across the state have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the jackpot, the Delaware Lottery joins other lotteries across the nation in reminding customers to play responsibly.
“When jackpots reach hundreds of millions of dollars, there is greater excitement, thrill and desire of people to play,” said Vernon Kirk, director of the Delaware Lottery. “While we anticipate that our Retailers will be busy and sales will be brisk, we encourage our players to play responsibly and spend only what they can personally afford.”
Wednesday’s drawing will be the 19th roll in the current draw cycle that started on April 5. The last POWERBALL® jackpot ($60.1 million) was won on April 1, 2017, and claimed in Arizona.
“We always remind players of the most important goals of the Lottery: to give people a means for fun and to generate dollars for vital programs in our community,” added Kirk.
The winning numbers from Saturday’s drawing were 3, 9, 21, 41 and 54. The POWERBALL® number was 25, and the Power Play® number was 4. POWERBALL® tickets sell for $2 per game; the Power Play® option POWERBALL® costs $3 per game.
