Delawareans To Get A Chance To "Win For Life":
Lucky For Life™ Launches January 27

DELAWARE CASH 5 to be Retired with a Special Second Chance Drawing

(Dover, Del.)— January 5, 2015 – LUCKY FOR LIFE™, the new $2 multi-state draw game and Delaware’s first “win for life” game, is launching January 27. This exciting game offers players a chance to win $1,000 a day for life or $25,000 a year for life, in addition to other cash prizes. Delaware is one of 14 states launching the game at the end of January. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 27, and the first drawing will be held on Thursday, January 29.

“Our players have been asking for a “win for life” game and we are pleased to deliver LUCKY FOR LIFE™ to start the New Year,” said Delaware Lottery Director Vernon Kirk. “We continually enhance and refine our game portfolio to offer our players a variety of ways to play and win.”

The drawings will take place Mondays and Thursdays at 10:38 p.m., allowing players to play up to 9:30 p.m. This new game makes the Delaware Lottery’s seven-day drawing schedule complete. For $2 per play, Lottery players can win a top prize of $1,000 a day for LIFE by matching five white balls (1-48) and one yellow “Lucky” ball (1-18). If a player matches five white balls without the “Lucky” ball, they can win $25,000 a year for LIFE. Other cash prizes range from $4 to $5,000. LUCKY FOR LIFE™ tickets cannot be cancelled.

“With overall odds of winning a prize at 1 in 7.8, we anticipate a strong interest from players,” said Kirk. “And a demand for the new game will benefit our Retailers through increased foot traffic into their stores.”

With the launch of LUCKY FOR LIFE™, DELAWARE CASH 5 will be retired on January 24. To reward loyal Cash 5 players, the Delaware Lottery is running a special $25,000 Second Chance Drawing. Fifty players will win $500. Players are invited to mail their non-winning DELAWARE CASH 5 tickets for the FINAL January 24 drawing by February 4, 2015, to the Delaware Lottery Office.
