Delaware Lottery announces major new retail partner
Lottery tickets now available at Kmart locations throughout the First State
Delaware Lottery players can now purchase tickets for many of their favorite lottery games at Kmart stores throughout the state. The Delaware State Lottery and the discount retail chain finalized an agreement last month and have already installed terminals at all Kmart locations in Delaware.
“We are pleased with this corporate retail partnership because it makes it that much easier for Delaware Lottery players to purchase and play the games they love in the places they already shop,” said Delaware Lottery Director, Wayne Lemons. “Hopefully this becomes a model program for other major retailers in the state.”
The program went live during the last week in September, and five of the six Kmart stores in the state are already fully operational. Kmart operates stores in each of Delaware’s three counties. Kmart stores in Wilmington, Dover, Rehoboth, Bear and Claymont now sell tickets as part of the Delaware Lottery's network of over 525 licensed Retailers, while the chain’s Newark storefront is expected to soon join the network.
7-Eleven, Food Lion, Acme, Shore Stop and Royal Farms are among the Delaware Lottery’s other major retail partners. The Delaware Lottery’s corporate partners typically account for approximately one-third of total sales receipts.
Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $3.3 billion to the state’s General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, MEGA MILLIONS®, HOT LOTTO®, FAST PLAY®, MULTI-WIN LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. Delaware Lottery game and promotional details are available at delottery.com, at licensed retailers, and from the Lottery's office in Dover.
