Dover, DE -- Delaware Lottery Director Wayne Lemons announced this afternoon that all of the 100,000 available tickets for the Delaware Raffle are expected to be sold before Noon on Saturday, December 29, 2007. At the time of the announcement, Lemons reported that ticket sales for the game were very brisk, and that fewer than 7% of the $10 game tickets remained available for purchase.
"Our Lottery Retailers have been very busy serving customers over the holiday season and have done an excellent job of representing the Delaware Lottery and selling all lottery games, especially the Delaware Raffle," said Lemons. "Players should always remember to play responsibly and within their means, and that it only take one ticket to win," he added.
The Delaware Lottery will draw the winning numbers for the Delaware Raffle at Lottery Headquarters in Dover. Drawing results will be promptly displayed at delottery.com after the drawing, and printed in Delaware newspapers on New Year's Day.
Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $2.6 billion to the states General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, MULTI-WIN LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games.
