DOUBLE THE LUCK AS TWO $200,000 POWERBALL® WINNERS CLAIM PRIZES IN JULY

Dover, DE -- A Wilmington woman's last-minute decision to buy a Lottery ticket while traveling has paid off, and an engaged couple from Milton will have a large pre-wedding gift as they both have recently claimed $200,000 POWERBALL® prizes from the May 19, 2007 and July 21, 2007 drawings at the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover.

Both winners, who wished to remain anonymous, received checks for $150,000, which represents the $200,000 prize minus federal taxes withheld. The winning tickets matched all five white balls, but did not match the red POWERBALL®.

The Wilmington winner told Lottery Officials that she discovered she had won when she returned to the retailer where she purchased the ticket at the Wilmington train station during a business trip. "The only person who knows that I won is my husband," she noted, adding that she has no specific plans for the prize money. She admits that she rarely plays the Lottery and purchased the ticket on a whim using the Quick Pick feature in which the Lottery terminal computer randomly generates the numbers.

The engaged couple from Milton were still in shock when they picked up their prize money. After going online to check the numbers on the Delaware Lottery website, the regular players said they were about ready to faint. "We're going to put some of the money into savings, and some towards buying a house," said the groom. The recent Maryland transplants, who also used the Quick Pick feature, have only told their family about their big win.

The Delaware Lottery reminds players to check their tickets, which are valid up to a year after date of purchase. Currently there are three unclaimed $10,000 POWERBALL® prizes. They are:

· Ticket for the December 23, 2006 drawing purchased at Books & Tobacco in Hockessin, Del.

· Ticket for the May 26, 2007 drawing purchased at Royal Farms in Milford, Del.

· Ticket for the February 24, 2007 drawing purchased at Christiana Dash In in New Castle, Del.

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $2.5 billion to the state's General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, MULTI-WIN LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games.
