World Poker Tour® Instant Game Winner Announced
Berlin, Md., Woman Can Choose to Play Any Tournament in the
Series
Dover, DE -- Genevieve Syah of
Berlin, Md., just could not believe her luck when she learned
that her second-chance entry was chosen as the grand prize
winner of the Ultimate Poker Experience in the Delaware
Lottery's World Poker Tour® Texas Hold'em instant
game.
Syah, 82, wins a trip to any WPT tournament event she
chooses as well as the $10,000 buy-in to participate in the
event and an extra $1,000 in spending money. However, if she
wishes, she can choose to simply pocket the entry fee. The
total value of the prize is $20,000 and also includes airfare,
hotel accommodations for six nights, two seats to watch the
finals of the chosen WPT event and a WPT Prize pack.
"I was so surprised and so happy," she said. "I
couldn't believe it."
Ms. Syah, who is a grandmother of one, added that she was
so shocked she had won she called her sister, Dorothy Gundling
of Eden, Md., six times to express disbelief.
"After six phone calls, I think she finally started believing,"
Gundling joked. "I'm happy for her. She really deserves
it."
Syah added that she will take her sister with her, but they
have yet to decide where they will go. Regardless where they
go, she said she probably will leave the poker playing to
the professionals.
"I like to play the games, but I think I'll keep the
money," Syah said.
In addition to Syah, 122 other lucky winners will receive
a WPT Prize Pack, which includes a quad-folding poker game
tabletop, an official World Poker Tour Tournament Poker Chip
Set, a wheeling cooler bag, one pair of World Poker Tour Sunglasses
and eight World Poker Tour 12oz. Tumblers.
Syah and the other winners entered the drawing by mailing
in their non-winning tickets to the Lottery or via the Internet
by logging onto www.delottery.com and following the instructions
to enter.
