Delaware Raffle Nearly Sold Out
Only a few tickets remain and someone WILL win $250,000 on
New Year's Eve
Dover, DE -- With only one week
left until the drawing, less than 25,000 Delaware Raffle tickets
remain. On New Year's Eve, one lucky Delaware Lottery player
will win $250,000. The Delaware Raffle, the Lottery's latest
game, offers the best top-prize winning odds and ensures that
one person WILL win $250,000.
Tickets cost $10 each and limited quantities of only 100,000
tickets were made available. The rate of sales has increased
greatly over the past few weeks as they have become a popular
holiday gift, so players are urged to purchase their tickets
before they sell out.
"The Raffle has been well received by our players and
the holiday season has produced a significant boost in sales,"
said Wayne Lemons, Director of the Delaware Lottery. "We
anticipate the last week of sales to be extremely strong as
well."
In addition to the $250,000 grand prize winner, five $25,000
and 250 $500 prizes will also be awarded. This presents an
overall winning ratio of 1:391, which are the best odds offered
by the Delaware Lottery for prizes this size.
Should the game not sell, the odds get even better for the
player as the same number and amount of prizes will be awarded
regardless of ticket sales.
"This is truly a unique Lottery game," Director
Lemons added. "On New Year's Eve, someone will win a
quarter of a million dollars, while most games only provide
the potential of a winner."
Winning numbers will be drawn New Year's Eve at the Delaware
Lottery headquarters in Dover. All 256 winning numbers will
be promptly posted on www.delottery.com.
