THREE
WINNERS AWARDED OPPORTUNITY TO MEET DRIVER
RUSTY WALLACE AT SUNDAY'S NASCAR RACE IN DOVER
Dover, DE --Three lucky winners
received Grand Prizes that included a "meet and greet"
with NASCAR® NEXTEL Cup driver Rusty Wallace at yesterday's
race. The event was part of the Delaware Lottery's "MEET
RUSTY WALLACE" second-chance drawing promotion for all
Delaware Lottery games. Winners were selected from three separate
drawings that included the general public, Players Club members,
and licensed Delaware Lottery Retailers.
The Grand Prizes were awarded to Dick Kirkland of Dover, general
public winner; Linda Ciach of Elsmere, Players Club winner;
and winning Retailer Marvin's Market located in Selbyville.
Each was awarded a private audience with driver Rusty Wallace,
VIP garage tour and pit passes and tickets to the NASCAR®
NEXTEL Cup Series Race for themselves and a guest.
Players entered the second-chance drawing by completing information
on the back of any non-winning Delaware Lottery ticket and
mailing it to a specific address. Entries were accepted during
a four-week promotional period which ended August 26th. Additional
prize levels awarded included five First Prizes of two pit
passes and tickets to Sunday's NASCAR® NEXTEL Cup Series
Race, 10 Second Prizes of two tickets to Saturday's NASCAR
Busch Series Race, and 20 Third Prizes of a Dover International
Speedway official gift pack.
"This promotion is an excellent way to give local NASCAR®
fans a second chance to win a unique prize using a non-winning
ticket from the Delaware Lottery," said Brian Peters,
deputy director of sales and marketing for the Delaware Lottery.
"The promotion drew NASCAR® fans who were truly excited
to meet the popular and well-respected driver Rusty Wallace
during his last race at Dover International Speedway before
he retires at the end of this season."
