July 21, 2003FOUR DELAWARE WOMEN WIN $2,500 SHOPPING SPREES
DOVER, DE -- Four
Delaware women picked up $2,500 gift certificates to their favorite
malls after being selected as the winners in second-chance drawings
from the Delaware Lottery's Quick Pick Promotion.
Ernestine Johnson, 68, a housewife and great-grandmother from Smyrna;
Shauna Bright, 23, a student from Middletown; and Kay Pritchard,
47, an auditor for the National Guard from Lewes, had their entries
drawn from among more than 10,000 in the general drawing. Peg Diggins,
66, a retired childcare worker from Rehoboth was selected from more
than 1,000 entries in a special drawing for members of the Delaware
Lottery's online Players Club.
Any non-winning Quick Pick ticket for POWERBALL®, LOTTO, PLAY
3 or PLAY 4 purchased between April 28 and June 21, 2003 was eligible
for entry in a drawing to win one of three $2,500 Quick Pick Shopping
Sprees to either Christiana Mall, Dover Mall or Rehoboth Outlets.
Players Club members downloaded a special entry form to submit with
non-winning tickets for entry in a separate drawing.
To enter either Quick Pick Shopping Spree second-chance drawing,
players had to complete all information on the back of any non-winning
Quick Pick ticket purchased between April 28 and June 21 and mail
one or more tickets to: Delaware Lottery Quick Pick Shopping Spree
Drawing, P.O. Box 1347, Dover, DE 19903-1347. Entries had to be
received in the Delaware Lottery Office by 4:30 p.m. on June 27,
2003.
The Quick Pick Shopping Spree second-chance drawings were held at
the Delaware Lottery Office on July 10, 2003.
