2002 Press Releases
July 31, 2002delottery.com OFFERS 2 NEW WAYS TO CHECK WINNING NUMBERS
DOVER, DE - Two new options for getting
Delaware Lottery winning number information are now available at
delottery.com. Animated drawings can be viewed at the site by clicking
on "View Drawings" from the home page, and players can
sign up to receive winning numbers for all drawing games via e-mail
on a daily or weekly basis.
According to Deputy Director of Marketing Brian Peters, the Lottery
is always looking for ways to harness emerging technologies in order
to provide players and other interested parties with the information
they want-in the format in which they want it. "Both of these
new features provide added value to our players," he said.
"With the on-line animated drawings, they have a chance to
actually see the most recent drawings - a more exciting alternative
to the winning numbers lists we also offer. E-mail notification
adds the convenience of having winning numbers delivered straight
to our players' in-boxes, so they don't have to go looking for them."
Winning number information is printed in The News Journal and Delaware
State News and aired by many television and radio stations in the
region during their newscasts. The Player Information Line (800-338-6200
in Delaware, 302-736-1436 out of state) provides this information
by telephone; it also is available at all Delaware Lottery Retailer
locations.
Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has
contributed more than $1.3 billion to the state's General Fund to
help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware.
The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, LOTTO, PLAY
3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. More information is available
at delottery.com.
