DELAWARE RAFFLE COMMENCES COUNTDOWN TO CASH
$250,000 top prize guaranteed to help winner ring in the New Year

Dover, DE -- The Delaware Lottery today announced the return of its popular year-end raffle game. Tickets for the Delaware RAFFLE, which have sold out each of the past two years, will again be limited to 100,000 to give players excellent odds of winning the guaranteed $250,000 top cash prize.

The $10 tickets go on sale today at more than 520 Delaware Lottery Retailers around the state, and lottery officials expect players to flock to the game once more.

"Delaware Lottery players have shown more enthusiasm for the holiday RAFFLE than almost any other game we've debuted in recent years," said Wayne Lemons, Delaware Lottery Director. "That demand made it a relatively easy decision to revive the game for a third time, but patrons who procrastinate could miss out on the fun as the limited number of tickets are sure to move quickly."

In addition to the $250,000 grand prize, five $25,000 and 250 $500 prizes will also be awarded as part of the countdown to cash. This presents an overall winning ratio of at least 1:391, which are the best odds offered by the Delaware Lottery for prizes of this size. The Delaware RAFFLE promises a definite single top prize winner selected from the sold tickets.

Winning numbers will be drawn New Year's Eve at the Delaware Lottery headquarters in Dover, and all 256 winning numbers will be promptly posted online. Players can visit www.delottery.com to check for winning numbers or bring tickets to any official Delaware Lottery Retailer.

RAFFLE tickets are also expected to be popular holiday gift items along with instant tickets, which have been great stocking-stuffers for many years. "There aren't many inexpensive and fun presents out there that offer a chance to win thousands of dollars or more," added Lemons.

The Delaware Lottery reminds players to immediately sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe place until the drawing.

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $2.8 billion to the state's General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, HOT LOTTO®, MULTI-WIN LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. Delaware Lottery game and promotional details are available at delottery.com, at licensed retailers, and from the Lottery's office in Dover.
